Governor of the South Moravian Region Bohumil Šimek said:

"The number of regular routes from Brno is growing thanks to the excellent work of our team, the Brno airport and the exceptional cooperation with Ryanair. I have no doubt that the route to Berlin will be a successful one – in both directions, inbound and outbound, as the South Moravian Region and its surroundings offer countless holiday and business opportunities. I expect the new route to bring us thousands of visitors. We will strive to continue to expand the offer of regular routes the Brno airport has to offer."

Accolade Group's CEO, Milan Kratina, said:

“The announcement of the Berlin route signifies that we are continuing to expand the offer of regular flights from Brno – exactly as promised a year ago when the airport became part of the Accolade group. Moreover in case of the Berlin route, it is an entirely new destination that will be flown for the first time to and from Brno. I believe it will follow the success of the Milan Bergamo route which has been almost fully booked since the very first flight. The large number of passengers flying to and from Brno gives us a good position to negotiate on the possible opening of other probable new routes."
