Raben has expanded the portfolio of tenants in Ostrov u Stříbra. The modern logistics warehouse grew up in record time.
In less than four months, the Accolade Group, in cooperation with the developer Panattoni, built a new modern hall in the industrial park in Ostrov u Stříbra. The new tenant of the 10,000 m2 building will be Raben Logistics Czech. The hall will be used as a warehouse for storage, sorting and distribution of goods. The total investment in a modern logistics warehouse is 300 million crowns.
"Recent months have made it clear that quality logistics and warehousing facilities will be key to a sustainable future for European industry and business. We simply cannot do without them in everyday life. Raben is one of our most important tenants. We are glad that the company has chosen the Czech Republic with this project and continues to grow," added Milan Kratina.
The beginning of construction work was associated with the introduction of strict quarantine and security measures to combat the COVID-19 infection, and at the same time, the developer had to deal with delays due to archaeological research. Thanks to the good coordination of the construction and the extreme commitment of all participants, the building was finally put into use according to the original plan.
"If I wore a hat, I'd take it off now. The team working on this project has done a great job in recent months and has not slept much. It is a bit of an exaggeration to say that we built via the Internet and over the phone because due to measures against the spread of the COVID-19 disease, the client's representatives could not visit the construction site in person. I am all the more pleased that it is not recognizable at all in the final product. In addition, the hall aspires to a high evaluation of the BREEAM environmental certification at the Excellent level, " said Pavel Sovička, General Manager of Panattoni for the Czech Republic and Slovakia, adding: "Three years ago we built a hall for Raben for food storage in Hořovice and now added another successful project.“
"We will operate a cross-dock in the new hall, which will be used for storage, sorting, and distribution of products This is a joint project between Raben Transport and Raben Logistics Czech for one of our clients. I really appreciate that despite the difficult conditions, Panattoni managed to complete the construction at the beginning of the summer and that is great, because the hall is very important for us and our business partners," says Jakub Trnka, Raben's CEO for the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
