BWI Group to create 300 new jobs in Accolade's premises in Panattoni Park Cheb
The novel construction for the BWI Group, premier chassis supplier, has symbolically began at Panattoni Park Cheb, close to the German borders with the presence of national and local officials from Karlovy Vary region. The new production plant shall consist of 15 000 sqm, with 300 new employment opportunities. The negotiations with the client were facilitated by the commercial real estate company CBRE together with Panattoni Europe and the Accolade group, which also finances the construction and once completed will lease the premises to BWI Group.
"Our company is mainly engaged in the production of shock absorbers and brake systems. Most of our customers are from Germany and other Western European countries. That was one of the reasons why we have decided to construct new plant in Panattoni Park Cheb" said by the president of BWI Group Jiang Yunan.
"BWI is very significant global company with many branches around the world, so its decision to join the Panattoni Park Cheb is great news, especially with respect to the number of jobs that will be created. It will also be the first new company in so-called second phase of the Cheb industrial zone, where there is a potential of additional 1 000 novel jobs," says Petr Navratil, mayor of Cheb
“The connection to Germany makes the city of Cheb an attractive location for various producers and logistics providers, as the unemployment rate is higher than in other regions of the Czech Republic. I am glad that I was able to contribute at the senate by the proposal, which shall ease the process in relation to establishment of novel industrial zones,” said Miroslav Nenutil, senator for Cheb and Tachov.
"Panattoni Park Cheb offers strategic location, skilled labour force and excellent highway connection to Germany, it only take few hours to get from Cheb or Munich. Therefore, it can be said that the zone offers a perfect solution for not only manufacturers but also other clients. The possibility of ´expansion´ either within the same building or the zone itself is also considered as a plus for the park, I see the last point as a crucial one with respect to the BWI decision to construct its novel production plant in Panattoni Park Cheb, as the company is planning to expand within the near future" emphasised Pavel Sovička, General Director for Panattoni in Czech Republic and Slovakia and further added, "this day is very special for us as it is not only about the symbolic beginning of the construction but predominantly about a long-term collaboration with a leading global investor BWI Group."
"The production facility will be owned by Czech group Accolade. It is the first tangible result of excellent cooperation between the city of Cheb, Accolade , Panattoni Euroe and CBRE. There will be more new investors coming to the zone," says Milan Kratina, Chairman of the Board for Accolade.
"The decision to locate a new plant in Cheb was preceded by a detailed analysis of more than 30 sites in the Czech Republic and Poland. BWI has found in Cheb perfectly prepared industrial zone thanks to the excellent work-relation of the city of Cheb, having a proactive approach towards new clients, and the industrial Developer Panattoni Europe. I am convinced that this constellation will soon bring other interesting projects suitable for this location. CBRE is now working on several other projects for Cheb zone, which are in the final stage of the decision-making process," adds Michal Bezděka, Head of Industrial Agency at CBRE.
Panattoni Europe will construct for the leading automotive manufacturer BWI very sophisticated manufacturing facility, which was designed according to their requirements. The new building will also make the most of environmentally friendly improvements, which will bring savings in operating costs. BWI company will produce passive dampers for various types of v automotive brands, such as BMW, Volvo, Audi, Opel and JLR .
The installation of client´s technology is planned during the second quarter of the year 2016. In the phirst phase there will be around 300 new employees. However, BWI Group is considering the expansion option, thanks to which the number of the novel employment opportunities would double. "We are currently hiring the top management for phase one. For the production part of the Building the proces shall start in the beginning of this year," said Linda Kitzbergerová, Grafton Recruitment, Branch Manager
