We support the health of the young!
As many as 27% of children in the Czech Republic are struggling with obesity. Although the WHO recommends that children devote at least one hour a day to physical activity, outside of educational facilities, only a quarter of the youngest part of the Czech population does so.
We in Accolade think that for every country the key to success are healthy, satisfied and educated people, and sport is directly related to that. We believe that by continuously supporting the initiative Trenéři ve škole (Coaches at School), we can contribute to a healthier and even more purposeful population in the Czech Republic.
The programme aims to RAISE CHILDREN'S INTEREST IN EXERCISE AND HELP WITH THE CONTENT AND VARIETY OF PHYSICAL EDUCATION AT SCHOOLS by introducing professional coaches of various sports to physical education classes of grades 1 to 4 of primary schools, as children at this age are particularly vulnerable to building an attachment to movement.
Therefore, we are very happy to see how the initiative has been expanding.
During their recent press conference our CEO Milan Kratina participated as one of key speakers, Trenéři ve škole presented rather optimistic figures:
From this September, a record 260 schools from all over the Czech Republic will be involved in the initiative. This is a significant increase, as currently 225 schools and around 32,000 children are participating in the programme!
We believe that this initiative might show a better new direction and encourage more partners, parents and schools to be involved.
Many thanks to Antonín Barák and Ondřej Lípa and their team for their passionate and valuable work, and we are pleased to be able to contribute to it.
