A HISTORICAL EXHIBITION IN SZCZECIN

The exhibition was prepared in collaboration with the local community, therefore constituting an authentic representation of the rich post-war industrial history of the area. As a part of the Accolade project, a film presenting the extraordinary characters of the former Fabryka kabli Załom (Załom Cable Factory) workers was also created. A competition for the pupils from the nearby primary school, focused on the Załom-Kasztanowe area history, was also organized.

The exhibition is located just by the entrance to the Szczecin I Park, which is the largest Accolade industrial park in Poland. Patronage over the exhibition has been extended by the City of Szczecin and it is open both for the residents, as well as for Accolade park employees. The initiative is an integral part of the Accolade Industrial Art program, which promotes the presence of art in industrial spaces.

Officially, the venue was opened in April and the ceremony was attended by the tenants of the Szczecin I Park, local authorities and local community representatives, former factory workers and the pupils from the nearby school. The official part also included announcing the results of the history competition, as well as presentation of awards to the winning pupils.
