Accolade has signed a cooperation agreement with AGC
AGC Glass Europe (AGC) and Accolade have entered into a partnership that includes the sale of FK Teplice. Accolade therefore becomes the owner and administrator of the football club, its stadium and related amenities. The agreement on the transfer of FK Teplice was officially signed by Davide Cappellino, president of AGC Europe, and Milan Kratina, CEO of Accolade. AGC will remain a proud sponsor of the team and its youth academy, where it will continue to serve as a member of the board of directors.

“We are pleased to have found a strong and stable partner who will continue to develop FK Teplice. Accolade is a company that – like AGC – is also commercially active in the region. We believe that thanks to its approach the club will continue its positive growth,” said Davide Cappellino.
“FK Teplice has a great tradition and potential that we want to develop. But I wouldn’t like this to be seen just as a step in sporting terms. For Accolade this is a strategic decision – we want to strengthen our presence in the Teplice area in the long term and to contribute to the growth of the entire region. AGC is a strong industrial player, whose presence in the glass and automotive sectors is very close to our heart. We believe that this partnership will open the door to new opportunities – not only in football, but also in business and subsequent infrastructure,” said Milan Kratina, CEO of Accolade.
Accolade is a successful investment group focused on the development and management of industrial infrastructure throughout Europe. The partnership with AGC, the world’s leading manufacturer of flat glass, particularly for the construction and automotive industries, has laid the foundation for further potential collaboration on projects. AGC is one of the biggest employers in the Teplice area with a strong regional background – among other things, it owns and operates a secondary school in Teplice. The aim of the agreement to sell FK Teplice is therefore not only to ensure the further development of the club, but also to look for opportunities to strengthen relationships within the region and Europe, where AGC has many plants and projects.
AGC Group (formerly Glaverbel and Glavunion) has owned FK Teplice for 30 years and has played a significant part in its development. The collaboration between AGC and the club does not end with this step. On the contrary, a close partnership is still planned in the area of social responsibility and development of the youth academy.
”AGC Group deserves a lot of thanks for the support that it has given to the club over the years. we appreciate its significant contribution to the history and present of FK Teplice. The cooperation between AGC and the club will continue in the coming years, particularly in its support for the youth academy,” says Pavel Šedlbauer, chairman of the club’s board of directors.
One of the key pillars of this new era for FK Teplice will be the emphasis on youth. Modern infrastructure for training and matches, including the planned modernisation of the AGC Arena Na Stínadlech, should provide ideal conditions for both young talents and professional players to grow and improve their football skills.
“Quality facilities and training conditions are necessary for youth development and the club’s competitiveness and so they are also our priority, especially in the form of the training centre in Modlany. We want FK Teplice to have conditions that meet the standards of today, while ensuring that in terms of sport and strategy the club is among the best in Czech football,” concludes Milan Kratina.
