Panattoni Europe and Accolade has handed over the production facility to Kion Group

The company KION Group has symbolically taken over a new plant for the production of forklifts at Panattoni Park Stříbro. The newest client within the zone shall officially open its facility and start the production at the beginning of next year. The facility was constructed by Panattoni Europe and consists of 27 000 sqm. The Building was financed and leased to the client by the Czech group Accolade. The project has also been nominated for an award hosted by the Best of Realty – Nejlepší z Realit 2015, which honours the most significant completed investments within the territory of the Czech Republic for the last 12 months.

´Only one year from the Ground Breaking Ceremony held by Panattoni Europe and KION Group I am pleased to welcome a new client within the Panattoni Park Stříbro. It is also essential to point out that numerous so called ´smart solutions´ were incorporated within the project such as ´floor navigation system´ which directs the forklifts between the rows. In addition, more than 26 sub-contractors from the Czech Republic were involved in the construction process of the premises for KION Group.´ emphasised Pavel Sovička, the General Director of Panattoni Europe in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

´The construction for KION Group becomes one out of three most important investments of this year´ says Milan Kratina, the chairman of the board for the group Accolade. ´The construction was completed on time. The budget for the construction of the building itself was around 600 million and the KION Group have signed a lease for at least 15 years´, emphasized Kratina.

´The start of the operation shall begin at the beginning of next year. We are currently recruiting novel team workers, such as CNC machinists, welders, painters and assembly specialists other open positions include operators on senior level  as well as technical staff for logistics, technology and quality department´ says Radek Čermák, Director for KION Stříbro.

Panattoni Park Stříbro is located in a close vicinity to D5 motorway and exit 107 enabling perfect connection to Germany and the town Pilsen, which offers skilled workforce predominantly for the automotive industry. Among the companies operating in the zone include Lear Corporation, Leoni, Ideal Automotive, Gea , Assa Abloy and Steelcase .

Thanks to the strategic placement of the zone and the popularity between the clients from various fields, coming from automotive industry and/or producers of office furniture the Panattoni Park Stříbro was announced by Czech Invest and the Association for Foreign Investment - AFI best industrial zone in the Czech Republic in 2008 and 2013. In addition, the zone has also received an acknowledgement from the Pilsen Chamber of Commerce and was named an important investment project in the Pilsen region for the year 2014.
