Accolade to develop nearly 90,000 m² of new industrial space along Spain's Mediterranean Arc
The projects in Alzira (Valencia) and Alcantarilla (Murcia) represent a combined investment of close to €100 million and reinforce the Mediterranean's role as one of Spain's leading industrial and supply-chain hubs.
Spain's Valencian Community began 2026 with close to 750,000 m² of industrial and logistics space under development, the highest volume of ongoing projects in recent years, according to Savills. At the same time, other markets along the Mediterranean coast continue to gain prominence in the expansion strategies of operators and investors, drawn by their connectivity, land availability and capacity to accommodate new industrial developments.
Against this backdrop, Accolade, a pan-European investor specialising in sustainable industrial infrastructure, has made two projects on Spain's Mediterranean coast one of its growth priorities in the country. Located in Alzira, Valencia, and Alcantarilla, Murcia, both are currently at the planning stage and will be developed under a build-to-suit (BTS) model, allowing the facilities to be tailored to the future occupier's needs. Together, they will total close to 90,000 m² of gross leasable area and represent an investment of close to €100 million.

Alzira: a new development to support Valencia's industrial growth
The company's main project on the Mediterranean coast is located in Alzira, one of the most established industrial hubs in the Valencian Community. Accolade plans to develop a facility of approximately 65,000 m², designed to meet the needs of industrial, logistics and distribution companies seeking state-of-the-art facilities in a strategic location within the Mediterranean Corridor.
It will represent an investment of close to €70 million and will be built to the highest sustainability standards, in line with the company's strategy of developing infrastructure prepared for the future needs of industry. The park aims to meet growing interest in locations that combine connectivity, land availability and access to some of the country's main transport corridors.
Its location will also allow efficient connections to some of the country's main industrial and distribution hubs, including the Port of Valencia, the Mediterranean Corridor and the Valencian Community's main road networks. The project is currently at the planning stage, with the design of a development aligned with expected industrial demand in the area moving forward.
Murcia to strengthen its role in south-eastern Spain
In parallel, the company is planning a new industrial park in Alcantarilla, a municipality with strong industrial and business activity within the Region of Murcia. It is expected to cover approximately 23,500 m², with an investment of close to €27 million.
This project, currently at the planning stage, will be located at a strategic point for national and international distribution operations and will serve sectors with a strong presence in the region, such as agri-food, food processing and temperature-controlled logistics.
Growing export activity in south-eastern Spain, together with Murcia's consolidation as one of the country's leading agri-industrial hubs, is driving interest in modern infrastructure capable of meeting increasingly demanding technical and operational requirements.
The Mediterranean gains ground on Spain's industrial map
The Valencia and Murcia projects form part of a broader trend reshaping the Spanish industrial market. Pressure on traditional markets, the need for more efficient infrastructure and the search for new locations with room to grow are favouring the development of regional markets with a solid production base and good transport connections.
Accolade believes this trend will continue in the coming years, particularly in regions able to combine industrial activity, international connectivity and land availability for new developments.
